Pratyush earned an Integrated MTech degree in Geoinformatics with a specialisation in Urban Applications from the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi.  His Master’s dissertation focussed on classifying a city based on its physical structure to deduce homogeneous urban patches. Prior to joining IIHS, he worked on the Namami Gange project of the Government of India.


At IIHS, Pratyush is part of the Academics and Research Team in the Geospatial Lab. His work involves developing new methods for image classification, analysis and related spatial analysis using remote sensing and geographic information systems. He also assists in producing high quality maps and data visualisation, and managing large spatial databases.
